H2 Equity Partners incorporates responsible investment values, as well as environmental and social considerations in its business practices and interactions with portfolio companies. As a firm, we strive to operate our own business and that of our portfolio companies according to the highest ethical standards. We fully support the UN Principles of Responsible Investment – the world’s leading investor initiative for responsible investing.

As a hands-on investor, H2 Equity Partners always takes one or more board seats in the companies we invest in. These board positions are held by our own team members, not external non-executive representatives. This involvement allows us to monitor ESG matters at board-level within each of our portfolio companies and to share best practices across our portfolio.

We have integrated ESG into our investment process not only as a requirement , but also as a conviction. We believe that good management of environmental, social and governance issues, and operating in an ethical manner, are crucial parts of risk management and ultimately supports long term business (out) performance.

H2 truly believes it can build better businesses by incorporating ESG standards into every aspect of its business, therefore we adhere to our Policy on Responsible Investing (“Policy”). This Policy summarizes H2’s core ESG standards and how these are incorporated within the entire investment cycle.

As the basis of this Policy, H2 has signed the UNPRI. The UNPRI is the world’s leading proponent of responsible investment, and H2 is committed to its six principles:

1. We will incorporate ESG issues into investment analysis and decision-making processes

2. We will be active owners and incorporate ESG issues into our ownership policies and practices

3. We will seek appropriate disclosure on ESG issues by the entities in which we invest

4. We will promote acceptance and implementation of the Principles within the investment industry

5. We will work together to enhance our effectiveness in implementing the Principles

6. We will each report on our activities and progress towards implementing the Principles

ESG standards are integrated into every step of H2’s core investment process: from sourcing and screening, to due diligence, to the active holding period.
