Oerlemans is a specialised manufacturer and supplier of freshly frozen vegetables, fruit, and potato products, with production facilities in the Netherlands and Poland. Through its brands Oerlemans, Keizer, Bio+, and Bauer, the company serves a wide range of customers in the international foodservice, retail, and industrial markets. Oerlemans built a strong reputation for its high-quality products and flexible supply capabilities across multiple frozen food categories.
Our investment
We acquired Oerlemans in 2014 from Vion Food Group and supported the transformation of the company into two focused businesses: a frozen potato business, which was acquired by Lamb Weston/Meijer in 2017, and a frozen vegetables business, which was acquired by Virto Group in 2018, a leading European producer and distributor of deep-frozen vegetables. Under our ownership, Oerlemans strengthened its operations, optimised its product portfolio, and established a strong strategic fit with both acquirers.
