PMJ is a leading developer and manufacturer of poultry processing equipment for duck and turkey. The company was founded in 1998 by Egbert Joosten, who had worked in product development with Meyn. Egbert and his team have developed unique processing equipment for heavier birds which has significantly higher demands than lighter poultry. As a result of their innovative and unique solutions, PMJ is now the world market leader in this niche.
H2 acquired a majority position in the company from the founder. H2 supported the management of PMJ with its international growth plans and further professionalization of the company. PMJ was positioned to expand its product range, and broaden its international presence in the duck and broader poultry processing sector. Marel (IS), a leading company in the production of food processing equipment, acquired PMJ in order to broaden its customer base in the duck segment, leverage its global sales and service network, and expand into new markets.
