Foppen is a leading international manufacturer of branded and private label premium smoked salmon products with proprietary processing capabilities. The business was founded in 1918 by the Foppen family, and was acquired by H2 in 2018.
Since 2020, Foppen has focussed exclusively on salmon and increased its focus on specialty products, like toast salmon. The Company has been transformed into a rapidly growing business, with a unique position in North America and the Far East. Foppen operates two factories in Harderwijk (the Netherlands), and in Preveza (Greece), and has 500 employees. Hilton Food Group, an international multi-protein food group, acquired Foppen to take another step towards their goal of becoming the global protein partner of choice.
