Lunch Garden is Belgium’s leading self-service restaurant chain, which operated 71 restaurants across the country in the value segment and offering a traditional Belgian menu. The restaurants are located at strategically attractive, high-traffic sites, serving a broad customer base with a focus on quality, accessibility, and convenience.
Our investment
We acquired Lunch Garden in 2009 and, together with management, initiated and directed a comprehensive repositioning of the business. A new leadership team was appointed, the restaurant portfolio was refurbished and expanded, and significant improvements were made in menu offering, cost management, and marketing. These structural changes transformed Lunch Garden into a market-leading restaurant chain with strong profitability and cash flow. The company was acquired by Bregal Freshstream in 2016, who continued to support ongoing growth and development.
