Unified was a market leader in IT outsourcing for the social housing corporation sector and was also active in other markets such as healthcare. The company offered a full range of IT outsourcing services, including cloud management, backup, disaster recovery, and first-line support. In addition, Unified provided the hardware and software required for on-premise solutions and operated two highly secure, efficient, and fully certified data centers in the Netherlands.
Our investment
We acquired a majority position in Unified in 2018 from the founder to support the company’s further professionalisation and growth. Together, we completed the successful succession process, expanded the core data center, and strengthened Unified’s capabilities through the acquisition of a cybersecurity firm. In 2021, Unified was acquired by Previder, part of Odin Groep, creating a leading managed services provider in the care, municipal, and social housing sectors. We reinvested a substantial part of our proceeds in the combination, which was subsequently sold to Apax Partners in 2022.
