Parenco is a leading producer of graphic paper products and paper packaging. Parenco is the holding company of the group consisting of Parenco and Reparco. Parenco used to be a paper mill, focused on the production of magazine publication paper, based entirely on recovered paper as raw material input. Reparco was a recovered paper business, active in the sourcing, collection, sorting and trading of recovered paper. Parenco has customers across Europe and North America.
H2 acquired Parenco and Reparco from Norske Skog, which attempted to close down the mill. Together with management, H2 worked on improving the ongoing business and converting one of Parenco’s idle paper machines into producing packaging grade paper. This conversion turned Parenco into a highly competitive producer of paper packaging. The busines was acquired by Smurfit Kappa Group (IE), globally one of the largest producers of packaging paper.
